Did U Know

Human trafficking is a form of modern day slavery.                         Hotline: 1-888-373-7888

Most people are not aware of the 35 billion dollar worldwide  industry of human trafficking, the 2nd largest criminal industry in the world next to drugs and it continues to grow.

600,00 people are trafficked across the USA every year; we are a main destination Country along with California, New York and Florida as main destination states for people being trafficked.

Many of these are young girls,  entry ages 12-14, from broken homes, life is so bad they run away only to find themselves in a much worse situation, almost all  were sexually abused at home. They’re picked up usually within 24hrs of being on the streets, and purposefully given  drugs and alcohol so they will become addicted and reliant on their pimps. An average lifespan for a girl on the streets is 7yrs.

Selling girls (and boys)  is more profitable than selling drugs, they can reuse a girl multiple times a day , making thousands of dollars on one human trafficking victim.  A pimps annual income can be over $600,00 with just 4 girls bringing in $500 a night, working 7 days a week.

This is going on in almost every neighborhood  across the U.S. without people being aware of it.   Common venues are, escort services, residential brothels, on the streets or at truck stops, local motels and hotels.

There are so many girls and boys who are vulnerable to situations that put them at risk:   runaways,  kids from abusive homes,  young girls dropped off at malls,  Romeo boyfriends who prey on insecure girls and boys and promise them the love and attention they’re not getting at home,  the internet who befriends lonely kids and lures them into meeting strangers etc…    Many of these predators are operating in your communities, neighborhoods and  schools, our goal is not to scare you but to make you aware of the possible dangers to your children.  Have a talk with them, have an open line of communication to help them understand.  Some of these men may have already approached your kids or their friends, make sure they know the tactics of sexual predators.

The Polaris Project  is one of the organizations  that works with all forms of human trafficking.
